TURLOCK, Calif. — Officials identified the man killed in an assault in Turlock on Tuesday, adding that he died after he was hit in the head with a chain.
Turlock police said they arrested the suspected killer.
On Tuesday, officers responded to the report of an aggravated assault on South Golden State Boulevard just before 1 p.m.
Upon arrival, officials said they found 54-year-old Donald Byoyodavid injured and unresponsive.
Despite life-saving measures, he died at the scene.
Turlock police said Byoyodavid was hit once in the head with a chain.
Investigators identified the suspect as 31-year-old Devin Tillery.
