1 dead, multiple injured after shooting & stabbing at Lake Berryessa

Here is what we know from officials in Napa County as they ID the killed victim.

One person is dead and multiple are injured after a shooting & stabbing at the Oak Shore Day Use area of Lake Berryessa on Saturday afternoon, the Napa County Sheriff's Office tells JLR.

The incident was first reported to authorities at approximately 5:30 p.m. when deputies were called for a report of a fight between people in the area.

Shots were fired during the fight and an adult man was shot and killed, according to the sheriffs office.

Two stabbing victims were reportedly airlifted to local hospitals with serious injuries, but their conditions are unknown.

The sheriff's office says multiple other stabbing victims were being treated at local hospitals but the number of victims is unknown at this time.

Gabriel James Chavez of American Canyon, 25, is facing a murder charge, the Napa County Sheriff's Office said. The person who died was identified as 39-year-old Fabian Sandoval Garcia of Solano County.
