CASTRO VALLEY, Calif. — A suspect in a Castro Valley shooting was arrested Thursday, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office announced.
The incident occurred on April 17 at Castro Valley Boulevard and Baker Road, where gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles.
Initially, no vehicles or victims were found, but detectives later identified the victim, who had fired a BB gun at another vehicle.
The second driver, known to the victim, retaliated with a firearm.
Detectives named 28-year-old Donovan Wright of Oakland as the suspect.
A warrant was issued, and Wright was apprehended at his apartment with help from multiple units, including the Special Response Unit and K-9 Unit.
A search of his home uncovered an illegal assault rifle, two loaded revolvers, and cocaine.
Wright was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
