Body found at Santa Cruz beach identified as missing UCSC student
The Santa Cruz Police Department said the body was reported to authorities at 2:13 p.m.
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office has identified a body that washed up on a Santa Cruz beach.
A call came in at around 2:13 p.m. for a body that was located at Its Beach.
The person was identified as Noah Lee Kim, a 21-year-old man from Los Angeles.
The sheriff's office confirms that he was a University of California, Santa Cruz student who went missing after diving off West Cliff Drive on May 4.
The water search and rescue operation began on Sunday afternoon around 5 p.m. and was called off later that night.
