Crews recover body of driver who plunged into Sac River
The two-door BMW plunged into the river sometime before 5 p.m. Monday.
WALNUT GROVE, Calif. — Crews Thursday found the body of a man who drove into the Sacramento River in Walnut Grove Monday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The two-door BMW plunged into the river sometime before 5 p.m. Monday.
The CHP said a man was seen inside the car before it went underwater. Crews searched for days under what they called "not favorable" conditions before pulling the car from the water.
In the driver seat was the man, CHP said.
The cause of the crash remains unknown. The Sacramento County coroner has not yet identified the body.
