Evacuations for fire in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Calif. — Evacuations were in progress for areas near a fire burning in the Lincoln area on Friday night, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office.
Officials said the fire was burning in the area of Bickford Ranch Road near Sierra College Boulevard.
The sheriff's office said evacuations were underway for houses on Poppy Hill Lane and Lyles Lane.
