SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The San Francisco Fire Department says crews are at the scene of a deadly house blaze Friday afternoon in the city’s Richmond District.
SFFD says the blaze broke out at 2:11 p.m. at a single-family home. SFFD confirms that one adult has died as a result of the fire and one firefighter suffered minor injuries.
An alert went out shortly before 2:45 p.m. urging residents to avoid the area of 26th Avenue between Geary and Anza streets due to fire activity and that emergency crews are at the location.
The cause of the fire is not yet determined.
