SUNNYVALE, Calif. — A homicide investigation is underway and a suspect is wanted after a victim succumbed to gunshot wounds outside of a home on Thursday evening, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety announced on Friday.
Sunnyvale DPS said its officers arrived at a residence on the 900 block of S. Wolfe Road to check out reports of multiple gunshots when they discovered the victim.
Officers tried to render aid to the victim but were unsuccessful. Investigators believe that the deceased and suspect knew each other, but the motive and circumstances behind the shooting are not yet known.
A photo of the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Jesus Aguilera, was released by Sunnyvale DPS. Aguilera is described as a Hispanic man who stands 5-foot-11 tall and weighs about 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and is bald, authorities said.
Aguilera is considered “armed and dangerous.”
