EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. — A 48-year-old Placerville man was arrested and accused of arson in connection with the Crozier Fire that forced evacuations in El Dorado County last month.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jason Robinette on Monday after Cal Fire Law Enforcement issued a warrant.
Robinette is accused of starting the Crozier Fire in the early morning hours of Aug. 6, Cal Fire said. The fire burned 1,960 acres and forced people in Mosquito, Swansboro, Georgetown, Garden Valley, Volcanoville and Quintette to flee their homes.
