Richmond-San Rafael Bridge reopens following crash
The cause of the crash is under investigation. It is unknown if there were any injuries.
RICHMOND, Calif. — A multi-vehicle crash on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge blocked all westbound Interstate 580 lanes Thursday morning. The California Highway Patrol announced all lanes were reopened just before 12:30 p.m.
CHP responded to the collision around 10:19 a.m. near midspan. Traffic cameras in the area showed bumper-to-bumper traffic continuing past noon. One lane was reopened around 10:45 a.m.
According to CHP, the crash involved four or five vehicles. The cause of the crash is under investigation. It is unknown if there were any injuries.
