Sacramento police investigating fatal stabbing on Rio Linda
Sacramento police are investigating a fatal stabbing on Rio Linda Boulevard that occurred early Saturday morning.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was killed in a stabbing in Sacramento early Saturday morning.
The Sacramento Police Department said they responded to the 2700 block of Rio Linda Boulevard just before 1 a.m., where they found a man who had been stabbed.
Officers attempted life-saving measures, but he was later pronounced dead by fire personnel.
The department said homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, and no suspect information is currently available.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the man once his next of kin have been notified.
