SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — A beloved San Francisco bartender is recovering at the hospital after he was stabbed multiple times at a bar on Divisadero Street on June 24.
The man, “TJ” Vindigni, was at the Fishbowl Bar & Grill with friends at 1:30 a.m., when a man stabbed him repeatedly in the face, neck and chest. The attack was completely unprovoked, the victim’s friends say.
Police arrested 43-year-old Patrick Hamer in connection to the stabbing. He was booked into jail for attempted murder.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for Vindigni’s recovery. Vindigni’s employer, The Snug on Fillmore Street, is also raising money through sales of its “Big G” cocktails. Two dollars from every “Big G” sold will go toward his recovery.
