Some evacuation zones in Palisades Fire burn area reopened to residents

Continuing LA wildfire coverage.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reopened some Palisades Fires evacuation zones to residents.

Residents must show proof of residency, such as a recent utility bill or mortgage document, to enter the areas.

Access will be through Mulholland Highway/Old Topanga Canyon Road, Civic Center Way/Malibu Canyon Road, and Mulholland Drive/Topanga Canyon Road.

The Sheriff’s Department advises residents to drive carefully and stay alert as emergency crews are still working in the area.

Most other evacuation orders are expected to remain in place for at least another week.
