Trump looking to sell federal buildings in SF
The White House is looking to sell the Nancy Pelosi Federal Building on 7th Street and the century-old building at 50 UN Plaza.
Two San Francisco buildings, the Nancy Pelosi Federal Building and a century-old structure at 50 United Nations Plaza, may be sold by the Trump administration.
Former Congresswoman Jackie Speier criticized the move as vengeance against Democrats and California.
“It’s another example of how he is coming after Democrats. He’s coming after California, and it’s all about payback,” Speier said. She also pointed out that leasing would increase costs, including property taxes.
Additionally, a federal building in San Bruno, named after Congressman Leo Ryan, is targeted for sale.
