Tuolumne County man accused of DUI in deadly crash

JAMESTOWN, Calif. — A 54-year-old woman died in a car crash Saturday morning in the Peppermint Creek area of Tuolumne County, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP was dispatched around 12:08 a.m. to a crash on Peppermint Circle west of Peppermint Lane.
Jack Jensen, 61, of Sonora, was driving a pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle during a turn, CHP said.
He drove off the road and hit two trees.
The driver attempted to reverse and struck a wooden utility pole.
A woman in the passenger seat died at the scene from her injuries.
The CHP determined Jensen was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
He was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County jail on felony charges, CHP said.
