Woman with 'traumatic injuries' found dead in Sacramento home

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A homicide investigation is underway after a woman was found dead Sunday afternoon in Sacramento, officials said.
Officers with the Sacramento Police Department were dispatched around 3:45 p.m. to a residence in the 7600 block of Center Parkway in the Parkway neighborhood after receiving reports of an unresponsive woman.
She had "apparent traumatic injuries" and was pronounced dead at the scene, the police department said.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators processed the scene, collected evidence and interviewed witnesses.
The investigation is ongoing.
No information on potential suspects has been released to the public at this time, the police department said.
